In Gronya’s latest video, she explores Dragon Quest’s history of daddy issues. But rather than anything Freudian, the video looks back at all the fathers who’ve had a “very bad time” in their respective games. If you’re just starting your Dragon Quest franchise journey, you might want to skip the video as it spoils a lot of storylines. But if you don’t care, Gronya lists out dads from Dragon Quest V–VIII and XI with a daddy quest scale (out of 10). Let’s just say dads have it bad in this franchise and apparently they have it bad in a lot of JRPGs. But seriously, it’s rough out there if you’re a DQ papa!
