The 3DO was a video games console from the 90s that only lasted 3 years, whose only impact on the industry was Gex (and the series was better known on the PS1 anyway). With that in mind, Majuular decided to play through the console’s RPG catalogue and as you’d expect, there were some okay games but mostly they weren’t.
Perhaps hindsight is clouding our judgement since we know what came after it but as one commenter said, NGL – if I had a rich friend that owned a 3DO back in 1993 most of these games would have blown my mind…
I remember how SNES graphics had me in a chokehold before I played on the SEGA Saturn and the majesty of NiGHTS still lives rent free in my head.
