Russ from Retro Game Corps reviewed the Mangmi Air X, the latest budget handheld to have some hype around it. Mangmi is a new kid on the block and their debut handheld might entice some… just not me.

I watched the video and heard the pros and cons and honestly? Eh. I’m almost certain you could get a better handheld in or around this price point. There are so many horizontal handhelds that can play PS1, N64, PSP, Dreamcast and below and, if you want GameCube et al, you don’t have to pay too much more.
The Mangmi Air X slots nicely into the sub-£100 category but any serious hype and excitement for this handheld is another example of magpie tendencies in effect. I’m sure it’ll initially sell well but then fall off as yet another handheld comes onto the scene (probably by Anbernic).
