Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line (or Dragon Warrior II in the US) was released in Japan in 1987 and 1990 in the US. Chunsoft and Enix were the developer-publisher duo once again and set Dragon Quest II one hundred years after Dragon Quest I, centering the story on the prince of Midenhall as he tried to defeat Hargon the evil wizard who destroys Moonbrooke Castle.
