How to play Doom in your Chrome browser

“Will it run DOOM?” is a classic gaming meme and the longer we live, the more that answer becomes “yes!” for every device on the planet. And now it can work for your Chrome browser thanks to Chris Johnson aka @defaced who hosted a JavaScript port of Doom.

To play Doom in your Chrome browser, do the following:

  1. Start on a new page like google.com (apparently it doesn’t work when you’re on a Twitter page)
  2. Go to Dev Tools (View > Developer > JavaScript Console or Control+Shift+J for Windows/Option+Command+J for Mac)
  3. Type in import('//dfcd.co/play-doom.js')
  4. Hit Enter and wait for Doom to load
