Bug Pokémon are some of the most disrespected in the franchise because of their poor average base stats and weaknesses (3) and types that resist it (7, since the introduction of Fairy). Despite this, there are quite a few Bug types in Gen 2 and Jrose decided to take on Johto and Kanto with a team of 6 critters and see if he could beat Crystal. But there was one added limit: they couldn’t be higher than Level 50.
The above video shows how he did and his strats to get through some of the trickier gyms. I was just happy to see Beedrill in a team, even if it sucks (justice for my waspy boy!)
