Although the first Just Cause performed OK in terms of its critical reception, the second entry in the series fared far better and left fans excited for what could turn into a potentially exciting new franchise from Square Enix. Well, Square was clearly paying attention to the feedback for this action-adventure/open-world series, because they have officially announced a third installment.
The news arrives as part of Game Informer‘s roll out of an entire month’s worth of features dedicated to Just Cause 3, which is set to arrive on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC at some point in 2015. Here’s some of what they had to say about playing the game for several hours:
The time flew by as we tried out the vastly improved parachute and grapple mechanics, terrorized the latest dictator’s well-defended bases, and soared through the sky with the all-new wingsuit. Just Cause has never played this smoothly, and … it’s never looked this good.
I recommend just keeping your eyes glued to GI‘s website if you’re at all interested in what’s to come of JC3, which, yes, looks pretty damn rad.
