You know when you want to make one thing and it morphs into another? That’s what happened to Marcin Plaza when he set out to build his own Steam Deck. However what he ended up making was an “Ultrawide DS”. It took a lot tape and a little patience but it made all the difference as the finish is superb.
I’m not sure if the DS part really checks out as it’s more like a GPD than a Nintendo DS and it’s not really practical but I don’t think that’s the point, since it’s a personal project and the perseverance paid off. And you can play DS games on it quite comfortably via emulation (albeit side-by-side instead of top and bottom).
