SEGA's history of Pokémon games

Nintendo is synonymous with Pokémon but did you know about Sega’s run of Pokémon games? Did You Know Gaming looked at these games for their Region Locked series, notably games on the Sega Pico and Advanced Pico Beena. It’s also worth noting that these edutainment games, such as Pokémon: Catch the Numbers!, Pokémon Advanced Generation: I’ve Begun Hiragana and Katakana!, and Pokémon Advanced Generation: Pico for Everyone Pokémon Loud Battle! were based off the anime rather than the main series games but it’s still cool to see official media from Generation IIV outside of Nintendo’s hardware. Pokémon Best Wishes: Intelligence Training Pokémon Big Sports Meet! was the last game to feature on a Sega console in 2010, teaching Japanese children how to read hiragana and English.
