Atari is a video game brand, originally founded as Atari, Inc. in 1972 by Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney. Their pioneering work in arcade games, home consoles, and home computers saw them rise and fall throughout the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Despite decades of challenges, bankruptcy and corporate changeovers, Atari’s legacy still reigns supreme.

Apparently, there’s an Atari Jaguar port of Mortal Kombat in the works. I’d be interested to see how that runs.

The Arcade Blogger examined Atari’s early concept arcade cabinets which represented a key part of the design function at Atari Coin Operated Division during the Golden Age of arcade gaming.
