I bet you’re thinking “only 3 Sega mistakes?” which is harsh but fair. Sega is unfortunately better as much for its failures as its successes and The Gaming Historian had a look at the 3 biggest mistakes in the video game company’s history.
I won’t spoil it but that console you’re expecting to be in the video is there. It was all going so well during the Genesis/SNES war but I feel like a lot of Sega’s downfall stemmed from clashing opinions between Sega of America and Sega of Japan. Consoles were made with no long term strategy or not enough thought altogether. And then it’s final console, the Dreamcast, was too little too late.
