I work in SEO (search engine optimisation) and so I look at search engine data every day. When combined with Pokémon, you get my attention and that’s exactly what The Toy Zone did with their infographic map.
Using Google search data, they were able to identify the most uniquely popular Pokémon in each country.
What stands out most to me is, despite there being over 800 Pokémon available to choose from, all the top choices are from Red/Blue/Yellow. Also, a lot of countries like Golem—I thought I was the only one! No prizes for guessing which Pokémon was picked the most.
