Charles Cornell on Sonic R's amazing soundtrack

Whatever you think of Sonic R, you can’t deny that its soundtrack slaps hard. Charles Cornell agreed and made a video about the game’s amazing soundtrack. Sonic R’s musical brilliance is thanks to British composer Richard Jacques and vocalist TJ Davis. SEGA was no stranger to brilliant music on its games, especially the Sonic franchise which featured music created by Michael Jackson, so it’s no surprise that they let Jacques loose on the music for Sonic R with its incredible harmonies, chord progressions, and Eurobeat vibes.

I have a theory that Jacques covered Spend Some Time by The Brand New Heavies on the Options Screen music but I can’t find any definitive proof. The chord progressions are dead on for me. If you’ve heard both songs and think the same, let me know in the comments!
