The PlayStation aesthetic has always been appealing to me; the definition of cool. But this video amped that appeal up tenfold. YouTuber f4mi made a video on the PlayStation Broadband Navigator (or PSBBN), a program exclusively available on Japanese PS2’s which allowed the user to access and manage data on their PS2 hard drives.
You got some channels for games, music, photos, and movies and there were even some exclusive games you could download. You could even transfer audio files between a MiniDisc player and the hard drive via USB.
This thing looked amazing and I wish we could have had it in the UK. There are “unofficial” ways to get this on a PS2 if you know where to look but otherwise, you can bask in the nostalgic glow of the PSBBN via this video.
