I’m sure you’ve heard about the Nintendo PlayStation by now (if not, here’s a video showing the console in all its prototype glory). It has fascinated many fans and James Channel decided to make his own… but not in the image of the prototype. No, James’s version is the internals of a PlayStation inside a Super Nintendo console but the disc drive is vertical and sticks out of the SNES cartridge slot.
It all seems to work as expected but the final product, with its open-air spinning disc, reminded me of CD, a cenobite from Hellraiser 3. That might just be me though.
