The first few announcements meant little to me because I don’t really play Pokémon Go, I definitely don’t play Café ReMix, Masters EX or Arceus (yet) but the last announcement was the MVP because…
THEY ANNOUNCED GEN 9 AND THE NEW STARTERS!
Here’s the tl;dr:
- The new games will be called Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet
- They’re coming in “late 2022” (so likely end of November)
- The new starters are called Sprigatito, a “capricious, attention-seeking Grass Cat Pokémon”; Fuecoco, a “laid-back Fire Croc Pokémon that does things at its own pace”; and Quaxly, an “earnest and tidy Duckling Pokémon”
- My favourite is Quaxly and it does look like a member of the DuckTalesverse(?)
