Hidden amongst an array of games on my Amazon wishlist is Slay the Spire. The deck-building game is popular amongst fans and now it’s becoming a board game.
According to Contention’s website, the board game will be for 1–4 players (ages 12+), take 45 minutes per player, and will be a “cooperative deck-building adventure”. And it’ll be out Spring 2021.
Craft a unique deck, encounter bizarre creatures, discover relics of immense power, and finally become strong enough to Slay the Spire!
And that’s everything in terms of news. For StS’s developers MegaCrit, it’s more good news on top of a successful 2020 after they received 6 award nominations including Strategy/Simulation Game of the Year and Outstanding Achievement in Game Design.
