The WonderSwan is a Japan-exclusive handheld gaming console released by Bandai in 1999. Designed by the late Gunpei Yokoi, creator of the Game Boy, this portable device gave gamers a unique and affordable experience with its monochrome LCD screen and a single AA battery for power.
Despite tough competition from the likes of Nintendo with its Game Boy Color, the WonderSwan gained popularity in Japan due to its diverse library of games including titles from popular franchises such as Final Fantasy and Digimon.
