I watched this on the final leg of a very stressful train journey and it was really interesting (and distracting). Shesez compared the Japanese version of Pokémon Red (named Pocket Monsters: Red) and the North American version of Pokémon Red, which was also available in Europe, and Oceana. 2/5 of the video is dedicated to pointing out differences in environments, the most bizarre sprites, the box art, the scripts, and other stuff. But the remaining part of the video runs through the entire Pokédex with side-by-side comparisons in looks and names. I’ve been playing this thing for over 2 decades and I never knew things like Vaporeon’s Japanese name being Showers or Flareon’s being Booster!
