You can’t move for homebrew handheld devices these days. While the official PlayStation handheld era has been, gone, and returned, Mackie Kannard-Smith decided to take a slightly different approach with the PS Hanami. It follows in the footsteps of the PSP and PS Vita in terms of portability but aesthetically and functionally, it’s a handheld PlayStation 1.
In the above video, you can see Mackie playing Vib-Ribbon which showcases the console’s nostalgic flavour. I love the OG buttons and the 3D printed control pad; they’re the rug that pulls the room together.
